LCFF 2026: La Grinta
La Grinta is a polyphonic, striking, and at the same time uncompromisingly contemporary fresco that explores the concept of resilience in a society shaped by performance pressure, self-optimization, and the pursuit of immediate success.
The work unfolds a complex panorama of human experiences and inner struggles, in which individual stories intertwine to form a collective portrait of our time. It portrays people in moments of uncertainty, failure, and quiet perseverance—far removed from the polished images of success that surround us every day.
With a powerful visual language that blends reality and surrealism, La Grinta creates an atmosphere suspended between dream and reality. This visual tension opens up new perspectives on what we often define as strength, while at the same time challenging our habitual assumptions.
Rather than offering simple answers or comfort through clear messages, La Grinta invites us to consciously confront and endure the contradictions of our present. It compels us to look more closely—at ourselves, at others, and at the structures that shape our thinking and actions.
Because sometimes true strength does not lie in loudly declaring one’s determination or in demonstrative endurance. Instead, it reveals itself in quiet, invisible moments: in carrying on despite doubt, in rising after setbacks, and in having the courage not to give up—even when no one is watching and no applause is to be expected.
