Jah’Mila & The Naya Rockers

Jah’Mila, a reggae singer from Kingston, Jamaica, brings the vibrant energy of roots reggae to international stages. Now based in Atlantic Canada, she blends traditional Jamaican sounds with influences from jazz and soul to create a powerful, modern sound. She has shared the stage with such greats as The Wailers, Black Uhuru, and Groundation. 

As the daughter of legendary Jamaican guitarist Earl “Chinna” Smith, she is deeply rooted in the reggae tradition and has previously performed in Ticino, including a show in Verscio nearly a decade ago. Her debut album Roots Girl (2022) celebrates her cultural heritage while championing empowerment, community, and social justice. 

She is accompanied by The Naya Rockers, an international collective led by U.S. drummer Nathan Sabanayagam. For over 20 years, they have collaborated with artists such as Stephen Marley, Sister Nancy, Junior Reid, The Congos, Ken Boothe, and many others. Their latest album, Higher Education, brings together some of the most significant voices in modern reggae.
