SONGS OF THESSALONIKI

The soprano voice of Savina Yannatou seems to arrive directly from the world of mythology of the god of the sea Phorcus: the Greek singer expresses herself in such a seductive and seemingly unreal way, like the mermaids of then, on the rocks of the Greek islands. Yet her repertoire is wordly: her “Songs of Thessaloniki” tell stories of characters of a harbour city, a meeting place of different cultures.
