LCFF 2023: “Young Birds”
Collective Final Work of the 3rd year students of the Bachelor of Arts in Theater.
Each year, under the direction of a professional director, the Accademia Dimitri creates a new end-of-training work from the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre intended to be taken on tour. Directing 2023 features the prestigious signature of dancer and choreographer Cristiana Morganti.
“A portrait of a group of young artists and perfomers who are on the verge of separating to pursue their individual paths-a flock about to disperse.
Dreams, relationships, clashes, disappointments, hopes, but also a lighthearted reflection on the world of theater and what it means to take this path today, in the digital age.
An ironic and authentic look at the dynamics of a group, always attentive to the potential of each individual performer.
Explosions of energy are translated into dance moments reminiscent of the contagious joy of Folklore dances. Poetic rituals alternate with brief theatrical and light-hearted moments. A montage of pictures and situations in which the viewer may perhaps identify and perhaps take flight.”
